Description:

The majority of lithium batteries you'll find are button or coin cell types. Coin cells are small discs and typically Lithium cells are used (3V) however, Alkaline manganese, zinc, and air are also employed (3V).

They're tiny and light ideal for devices that have low power demands. They're also quite secure, come with a lengthy lifespan, and are inexpensive per unit. However, they aren't rechargeable and have a very high resistance within (which is why they're secure, even if you have a couple of devices on the go) consequently they're not capable of supplying continuous current: 0.005 C is the limit it will go to before capacity is severely diminished. However, they are able to offer more current when they are "pulsed" (usually at a rate of about 10 percent).
