Description:
Most lithium batteries you'll come across are coin or button cell-type. Coin cells are discs that are small and, typically Lithium cells are utilized (3V) however Alkaline, manganese, and zinc-air are also utilized (3V).
They're extremely tiny and lightweight perfect for devices with small power requirements. They're also relatively secure, have a lengthy shelf life, and are fairly affordable per unit.
They're however not rechargeable, and they have a very high resistivity within (which is why they're quite safe if you only have one or two devices in use) therefore they aren't able to provide the continuous current needed: 0.005 C is the maximum it can get before capacity gets seriously diminished. But, they can deliver more current, in the event that it is "pulsed" (usually at a rate of around 10%).
